차창 밖으로 펼쳐진 파란 하늘과 몽실몽실한 구름을 보면 절로 기분이 좋아진다.
(Looking at the blue sky and fluffy clouds outside the car window naturally lifts my mood.)

하지만 차에서 내리는 순간 뜨거운 열기에 또 한 번 놀라게 되는 날씨가 이어지는 요즘이다.
(But these days, the moment I step out of the car, the intense heat catches me off guard all over again.)

그래도 오래전부터 가보고 싶었던 전시를 보기 위해 설레는 마음으로 목적지인 DDP를 향했다.
(Still, with an excited heart, I headed to DDP, my destination, to see an exhibition I had wanted to visit for a long time.)

어제 오후 1시 30분쯤 동대문디자인플라자(DDP)에 도착했다.
(I arrived at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) around 1:30 PM yesterday.)

방학 기간이라 그런지 주차장은 이미 만차였고, 빈자리가 나기까지 생각보다 오랜 시간을 기다려야 했다.
(Perhaps because it was school vacation season, the parking lot was already full, and I had to wait longer than expected for a spot to open up.)

이날의 목적지는 뮤지엄 전시관에서 열리고 있는 '키크니 특별전: 그렸고 그런사이'였다.
(My destination that day was the "Keykney Special Exhibition: Drawn and In-Between," being held at the Museum exhibition hall.)

전시장 입구에는 커다란 포토존 구조물이 세워져 있었다.
(A large photo zone structure stood at the entrance of the exhibition hall.)

키크니 작가의 대표 캐릭터들 — 넥타이를 맨 회사원, 단발머리 여성, 강아지, 고양이, 아기 — 이 한데 모여 있었고, 그 아래에는 전시 정보가 적혀 있었다.
(Keykney's signature characters — a necktie-wearing office worker, a bob-haired woman, a dog, a cat, and a baby — were gathered together, with exhibition information written below.)

전시 기간은 2026년 4월 25일(토)부터 9월 6일(일)까지였고, 주최는 키크니와 서울디자인재단, DDP, GNC Media였다.
(The exhibition runs from Saturday, April 25, 2026 to Sunday, September 6, 2026, hosted by Keykney, the Seoul Design Foundation, DDP, and GNC Media.)

예약은 인터파크를 통해 했다.

티켓 디자인에도 작가 특유의 그림체가 그대로 담겨 있었다.

전시장 안에는 작가의 작업실을 콘셉트로 꾸며 놓은 공간이 있었다.
(Inside the exhibition hall was a space designed around the concept of the artist's studio.)

책상 위에는 콘티 스케치와 참고 자료들이 어지럽게 놓여 있었고, 모니터에는 'SECRET 키크니의 모든 것'이라는 폴더가 띄워져 있었다.
(Storyboard sketches and reference materials were scattered across the desk, and a folder titled "SECRET — Everything About Keykney" was displayed on the monitor.)

의자에는 키크니 로고가 새겨진 후드집업이 걸려 있었고, 창밖으로는 서울 도심 풍경이 펼쳐져 있어 실제 작가의 작업실을 방문한 듯한 몰입감을 느낄 수 있었다.
(A hoodie with the Keykney logo hung over the chair, and the view of downtown Seoul through the window created an immersive feeling of actually visiting the artist's real studio.)

전시의 시작은 키크니 특유의 재치가 가득 담긴 골목 디오라마였다.
(The exhibition began with an alley diorama full of Keykney's signature wit.)

'무조건 족인사랑' 발마사지숍, '역사에 길이 나물' 반찬가게, '죽었니 사랑니' 치과, 'GYM 나오면 개고생' 헬스장, '잠자는 숙소의 공주' 여성 전용 게스트하우스 등 피식 웃음이 나오는 상호들이 골목마다 이어졌다.
(Chuckle-worthy shop names lined every alley — a foot massage shop called "Unconditional Foot Love," a side-dish store called "Vegetables for the History Books," a dental clinic called "Dead Wisdom Tooth, Beloved Tooth," a gym called "Leave the Gym, Suffer Like a Dog," and a women-only guesthouse called "The Princess of the Sleeping Lodging.")

전시장 곳곳에는 키크니 만화 속 장면들이 실제 공간처럼 마련되어 있었다.
(Throughout the exhibition hall, scenes from Keykney's comics were recreated as real-life spaces.)

모든 공간을 사진으로 담지는 못했지만, 특히 인상 깊었던 몇몇 장면만 기록해봤다.
(I couldn't photograph every single space, but I recorded a few scenes that left a particularly strong impression.)

내부는 영상 촬영은 불가능하지만 사진 촬영은 가능해 여유롭게 둘러보며 추억을 남기기 좋았다.
(Video recording wasn't allowed inside, but photography was permitted, making it easy to take my time and capture memories.)

단순히 귀엽고 재미있는 캐릭터만 전시해 놓은 것이 아니라, 직장인의 애환과 학창 시절의 추억, 부모님과 가족 이야기처럼 누구나 한 번쯤 겪어봤을 법한 일상들을 키크니만의 유머와 따뜻한 시선으로 풀어낸 공간들이 이어졌다.
(Rather than simply displaying cute, fun characters, the spaces unfolded everyday moments almost everyone has experienced — an office worker's struggles, memories from school days, stories about parents and family — all told through Keykney's unique humor and warm perspective.)

재치 있는 연출 덕분에 피식 웃음이 나오는가 하면, "맞아, 나도 저랬는데." 하고 공감하게 되는 순간도 많았다.
(The witty presentation brought out plenty of chuckles, and there were also many moments of relating with a "yeah, that was me too.")

화려한 체험 요소가 있는 전시는 아니었지만, 작품 속 공간에 직접 들어온 듯한 느낌을 받으며 사진을 찍고 추억을 떠올릴 수 있어 전시를 더욱 재미있게 즐길 수 있었다.
(It wasn't an exhibition packed with flashy interactive elements, but the feeling of stepping directly into the artwork's world made it more enjoyable, letting me take photos and recall memories along the way.)

그런데 동선을 따라 안쪽으로 들어갈수록 전시의 결이 완전히 달라졌다.
(But as I followed the path deeper inside, the tone of the exhibition changed completely.)

반려견과 함께한 시간과 이별을 다룬 에피소드, 사랑하는 사람과 헤어지는 순간을 그린 컷들이 이어지면서, 어느 순간부터는 웃음기가 싹 가셨다.
(As episodes about time spent with a pet dog and their farewell, along with panels depicting moments of parting from a loved one, continued one after another, the laughter faded away at some point.)

반려견을 키워본 적 없는 나조차 눈시울이 뜨거워졌으니, 실제로 반려동물을 떠나보냈거나 소중한 사람을 잃어본 경험이 있는 사람이라면 눈물을 참기 어려울 정도로 몰입하게 되는 구성이었다.
(Even I, who has never had a pet dog, felt my eyes well up — so for anyone who has actually said goodbye to a pet or lost someone dear, this section was composed in a way that would be nearly impossible to watch without tears.)

이 코너에서는 카메라를 꺼낼 생각조차 나지 않았다.
(In this section, I didn't even think to take out my camera.)

사진 한 장 남기는 것보다 그 순간 자체에 온전히 머무르고 싶었던 것 같다.
(I think I wanted to stay fully present in that moment rather than capture a single photo.)

전시의 마지막 구간, 출구로 이어지기 직전에는 관람객이 직접 메모를 남기고 붙일 수 있는 코너가 마련되어 있었다.
(In the final section of the exhibition, just before the exit, there was a corner where visitors could write and post their own notes.)

벽면 전체가 이미 빼곡한 메모들로 가득 덮여 있었는데, 그 양만 봐도 이 전시가 얼마나 많은 사람들의 발걸음을 붙잡았는지 실감할 수 있었다.
(The entire wall was already covered edge to edge with notes, and just seeing the sheer volume made clear how many people this exhibition had drawn in.)

사람들은 작은 테이블에 둘러앉아 각자의 한마디를 적고 있었고, 우리도 그 틈에 끼어 짧은 메모 하나를 적어 벽에 붙여보았다.
(People sat around the small tables writing their own words, and we joined in as well, writing a short note and adding it to the wall.)

전시를 다 둘러본 뒤에는 굿즈샵으로 이어졌는데, 이 구간이 생각보다 풍성했다.
(After finishing the exhibition, the path led to the goods shop, which turned out to be more extensive than expected.)

KEYKNEY 로고가 큼직하게 프린트된 반팔 티셔츠는 36,000원이었고, 사이즈는 S부터 XL까지 다양하게 구비되어 있었다.

전체적으로 전시가 단순히 귀엽고 재미있는 캐릭터 전시일 거라 생각하고 갔는데, 후반부의 감정선 때문에 예상외로 여운이 오래 남았다.
(Overall, I went in thinking it would simply be a cute, fun character exhibition, but the emotional arc of the latter half left an unexpectedly lasting impression.)

남녀노소 정말 많이 와 있었다.
(People of all ages and genders had turned out in large numbers.)

다만 이별 파트를 지날 때는 모두가 잠시 멈춰 서서 조용해졌다.
(However, when passing through the farewell section, everyone paused and grew quiet.)

주차만 여유 있게 생각하고 간다면, 웃음과 눈물을 동시에 챙겨올 수 있는 알찬 나들이 코스가 될 것 같다.
(As long as you allow extra time for parking, this could be a fulfilling outing that brings home both laughter and tears.)
