SNS 숏츠에서 보고 반해버린 볼꾸 영상을 따라 평일 명동을 다녀왔다.

미미라인 DIY부터 명동교자, K푸드랩, 대빵오락실, 메가커피까지 실제로 다녀본 솔직 후기를 담았다.

나들이 코스 — Course Overview
▷ 내가 다녀온 코스 (버스 귀가 / Bus route)
미미라인(7번 출구) → 팝마트 → 명동교자 본점 → K푸드랩(2번 출구) → 대빵오락실 → 메가커피 → 버스 귀가메가커피 명동입구점에서 버스정류장까지 도보 약 2분 거리였다.(The bus stop is just a 2-minute walk from Mega Coffee — perfect for wrapping up the day.)
▷ 지하철 귀가 시 추천 코스 — Subway-friendly Route (북→남 직선)메가커피(2번 출구) → K푸드랩 → 명동교자 → 팝마트 → 대빵오락실 → 미미라인(7번 출구)2번 출구 진입 후 북→남 일직선으로 내려오면 역방향 없이 7번 출구로 귀가 가능.(Enter at Exit 2, walk south, and head home naturally from Exit 7 — all within a 400m radius.)
미미라인 명동점 (Mimiline DIY Zone) ㅡ 볼꾸 체험의 성지
SNS를 보다가 볼꾸숏츠가 눈길을 사로잡았다.
(A ball-pen decorating reel on SNS caught my eye and I couldn't stop thinking about it.)
초등 아이와 함께 가면 좋아할 것 같아 평일 하루 학교가 끝나고 명동을 찾았다.
(I figured my kid would love it, so we headed to Myeongdong right after school on a weekday.)
평일임에도 사람이 많아 놀랐고, 대부분이 외국인이라 또 한 번 놀랐다.
(I was surprised by how crowded it was for a weekday — and even more surprised that most visitors were foreign tourists.)
목적지는 명동역 7번 출구 미미라인이었다.
(Our destination was Mimiline, right at Exit 7 of Myeongdong Station.)
동대문 미미라인은 작년 8월에 간 적이 있었는데, DIY 성지라 불리는 곳이 바로 이 명동 미미라인 건물인 줄은 몰랐다.
(I'd visited the Dongdaemun branch back in August last year, but had no idea the so-called "DIY holy ground" was actually this Myeongdong location.)
1층에 들어서면 바프 매장이 커다랗게 자리잡고 있고, 바로 2층으로 올라갔다.
(The first floor is dominated by a large BARF store — we headed straight up to the second floor.)
2층은 악세사리 존이었다.
(The second floor was an accessories paradise.)
볼꾸(볼펜꾸미기), 거꾸(거울꾸미기), 빗꾸(빗꾸미기) 코너에서 생각보다 시간이 많이 걸렸다.
(The ball-pen, mirror, and comb decorating corners took way more time than expected.)
파츠 종류도 다양하지만 어울리는 색감과 디자인으로 맞춰보려니 쉽지 않았다.
(With so many parts to choose from, finding the right color and design combo was surprisingly tricky.)
외국인들도 많이 보였고, 특히 초등 여자아이들이라면 너무 좋아할 코너였다.
(There were plenty of foreign visitors too — honestly, this corner is a dream for elementary school girls.)
손재주가 없는 나는 아무래도 완제품이 좋다는 걸 다시 한번 깨달았다.
(I, on the other hand, was once again reminded that I'm much better off buying things ready-made.)
요즘은 단순히 보고 사는 것을 넘어, 만들고 체험하고 나만의 무언가를 즐기는 분위기인 것 같다.
(These days it's not just about shopping — it's about making, experiencing, and creating something uniquely yours.)
키캡 만들기, DIY 와팬 커스텀도 있었고, 각종 키링·헤어 악세사리·귀걸이·목걸이까지 볼거리가 가득했다.
(There were also keycapmaking stations, DIY wappen customizing, and racks full of keyrings, hair accessories, earrings, and necklaces.)
리락쿠마 굿즈 코너도 자리잡고 있었는데, 대형 쿠션부터 소품까지 리락쿠마 패밀리 캐릭터 상품이 한가득이라 캐릭터 팬이라면 그냥 지나치기 어려운 공간이었다.
(There was also a dedicated Rilakkuma goods corner — oversized cushions, small items, the whole character family — impossible to walk past if you're a fan.)
2층 매장 한켠에는 위례 스타필드에 얼마 전 들어온 '오늘의 귀여움' 가챠존도 자리잡고 있었다.
(Tucked into one corner of the floor was the 'Today's Cuteness' gashapon zone, the same one that recently opened at Starfield Wirye.)
3층은 패션, 4층은 화장품이었는데 2층에 오래 머물다 보니 3, 4층은 짧게 둘러만 보고 나왔다.
(Floor 3 is fashion, floor 4 is cosmetics — but we spent so long on floor 2 that we only managed a quick sweep of the rest.)
Tip : 2층에서 시간을 많이 쓰게 되니 3층(패션), 4층(화장품)도 보고 싶다면 위층부터 먼저 둘러보는 것을 추천한다.
(If you want to see all floors, start from the top — floor 2 is a time sink.)
팝마트 명동 (Pop Mart Myeongdong) ㅡ 잠깐 들른 블라인드 박스 세계
저녁을 먹으러 가기 전에 팝마트도 들렀다.
(We stopped by Pop Mart before heading to dinner.)
팝마트는 베이징에 본사를 둔 중국 장난감 회사로, 블라인드 박스 방식으로 수집용 피규어를 판매하는 곳이었다.
(Pop Mart is a Beijing-based toy company that sells collectible figures in blind box format — you don't know what you're getting until you open it.)
좋아하는 피규어가 없는 관계로 잠깐 둘러보고 나왔다.
(Since none of the figures really spoke to me, I had a quick look and moved on.)
명동교자 본점 (Myeongdong Kyoja) ㅡ 햄버거보다 빠른 칼국수
저녁을 고민하다 결국 명동교자였다.
(After some deliberation, Myeongdong Kyoja won out for dinner.)
신관이 새로 생겼는데 눈앞에 보이는 본점으로 향했다.
(A new annex had recently opened, but we went with the original main restaurant that was right in front of us.)
신관으로 많이들 가서인지 대기도 없었고, 뭔가 썰렁한 느낌이었다.
(Perhaps because everyone was heading to the new annex, there was no wait — and the place felt oddly quiet.)
2층을 안내받고 계단을 오르자마자 자리에 앉기도 전에 주문과 선결제가 이루어졌다.
(We were directed to the second floor, and before we'd even taken our seats, we'd already ordered and paid.)
그렇게 햄버거보다 빠른 속도로 칼국수가 나왔다.
(The noodles arrived faster than any fast food burger I've ever ordered.)
맛은 변함없는 명동교자였다.
(The taste was exactly what you'd expect — classic, consistent Myeongdong Kyoja.)
이번에 새로 생긴 신관 모습이다 다음엔 여기로 가봐야겠다

K푸드랩 명동점 (K Food Lab) ㅡ 주황색 라면 건물의 실체
저녁을 먹고 향한 곳도 숏츠에서 본 곳이었다.
(The next stop was another place I'd spotted on Shorts.)
지하철 4호선 명동역 2번 출구를 나서면 눈길을 사로잡는 거대한 주황색 라면 박스 건물이 등장한다.
(Step out of Exit 2 on Line 4 and you're immediately confronted by a massive orange ramen-box building.)
면발을 형상화한 외관 디자인만 보더라도 K푸드 특화 공간이란 걸 알아차릴 정도로 존재감이 뚜렷했다.
(The noodle-inspired facade makes it instantly clear this is a K-food destination — its presence is hard to miss.)
입구에서부터 K팝 굿즈·바나나맛우유·비요뜨가 전진 배치되어 있었고, 2층엔 2.8m 높이 진열대에 라면 170여 종이 빼곡히 자리한 라면 박물관도 있었다.
(K-pop goods, banana milk, and Biyotte snacks are lined up right at the entrance, and the second floor houses a ramen museum with over 170 varieties displayed on 2.8-metre shelves.)
생각보다 규모가 작아 놀랐고, 사진에서 보이는 게 전부라 또 놀랐다.
(I was surprised by how small it was in person — and even more surprised that what you see in photos is pretty much all there is.)
굳이 안 와봐도 됐을 뻔했지만, 궁금한 건 못 참으니 한 번 본 걸로 되었다.
(Could've skipped it — but curiosity always wins, and at least now I know.)
12층 다이소 빌딩 — The 12-Floor Daiso Tower
K푸드랩 명동점 인근에는 12층 규모의 대형 다이소 매장이 자리하고 있다.
(Just near K Food Lab sits a massive Daiso store that occupies an entire 12-storey building.)
매장 밖 유리창 너머로 보이는 내부는 이미 수많은 방문객으로 가득 차 있었다.
(Even from outside the glass, you could see the place was absolutely packed.)
엄청난 인파를 보니 선뜻 발걸음이 떨어지지 않아 발길을 돌렸다.
(One look at the crowd and I quietly turned around and kept walking.)
대빵오락실 (Daebbang Arcade) ㅡ 의외의 초대형 규모
이제 집에 갈까 하고 지하철역으로 가던 중 대빵오락실이 보여 자연스럽게 들어가 보았다.
(We were on our way to the station when Daebbang Arcade caught our eye — and we walked right in.)
입구에서는 몰랐는데, 들어오니 초대형 크기였다.
(From the outside it didn't look like much, but inside it was enormous.)
인형뽑기 기계도 엄청 많았고, 안쪽으로 오락실·노래방·스티커 사진기까지 있었다.
(Rows and rows of claw machines, plus an arcade, karaoke rooms, and a photo sticker booth further inside.)
친구끼리, 연인끼리, 가족끼리 와서 재밌는 시간을 보내기에 좋을 것 같았다.
(It's the kind of place that works for everyone — friends, couples, and families alike.)
인형뽑기도 도전해봤지만 아쉽게도 뽑지는 못했다.
(I gave the claw machine a shot — and came away empty-handed, as expected.)
마무리는 메가커피 (Mega Coffee Myeongdong) ㅡ 5층 뷰 카페에서 당충전
오락실 게임도 즐기다가 집에 가기 전 시원한 음료 한 잔을 마시러 메가커피로 향했다.
(After a few rounds of arcade games, we made our way to Mega Coffee for a cold drink before heading home.)
명동입구점은 5층까지 있었고, 1층은 좌석 없이 카운터만 있었다.
(The Myeongdong entrance branch spans five floors — the ground floor is counter-only, no seating.)
층마다 넓지는 않았지만 좌석은 적당했고, 5층까지 있어 사람이 많아도 여유가 있어 보였다.
(Each floor is compact but adequately seated, and with five floors to spread across, it never felt too cramped.)
창밖으로 보이는 대로변 풍경을 바라보며 당충전을 하고 쉬었다.
(We sat by the window, watched the busy street below, and recharged with something sweet.)
메가커피 바로 앞 버스정류장에서 버스를 타고 귀가했는데, 도보로 2분 거리라 마무리 동선으로도 딱이었다.
(The bus stop right out front was only a 2-minute walk — a perfect ending to the route.)
총평 (Final Thoughts + Route Tips)
그렇게 평일 명동 나들이를 마쳤다.
(And just like that, our weekday Myeongdong adventure came to an end.)
많이 걸어 힘들었지만, 매일 똑같은 일상에서 이런 시간은 오히려 에너지를 채워주는 시간이기도 했다.
(My feet were tired, but a day like this — out of the usual routine — actually felt more energizing than exhausting.)
나는 미미라인(7번 출구)에서 시작해 메가커피로 마무리했는데, 버스 귀가라 메가커피 앞 정류장에서 바로 탈 수 있어 동선이 잘 맞았다.
(I started at Mimiline near Exit 7 and finished at Mega Coffee — which worked perfectly since the bus stop was right outside.)
버스를 이용한다면 이 코스가 오히려 더 효율적이다.
(If you're taking the bus home, this order actually makes more sense.)
다만 지하철로 귀가할 계획이라면 동선을 반대로 짜는 것을 추천한다.
(If you're going home by subway, I'd recommend reversing the order.)
명동역 2번 출구로 진입해 메가커피부터 시작하고, 북에서 남으로 쭉 내려오다 미미라인(7번 출구)에서 마무리하면 역방향 이동 없이 자연스럽게 귀가할 수 있다.
(Enter at Exit 2, start with Mega Coffee, walk south through each stop, and finish at Mimiline near Exit 7 — no backtracking needed.)
초등 아이와 함께라면 미미라인 2층 DIY 코너와 대빵오락실 조합을 강력히 추천한다.
