어버이날을 맞아 점심을 먹으러 태능맥갈비 청학리 본점(통나무집)을 찾았다.
(We visited Taenung Maekgalbi's Cheonghakri branch (the log cabin location) for a Parents' Day lunch.)
그런데 도착해 보니 내부공사로 임시휴업 중이었다.
(Upon arrival, we found it temporarily closed due to interior renovation.)

매장 외관 (Exterior)
대신 근처 태능맥갈비 본점으로 발길을 돌렸다.
(We redirected to the nearby Taenung Maekgalbi main branch instead.)
임시휴업 이슈로 점심시간이 늦어지면서 도착한 시간은 오후 1시 10분쯤이었다.
(Due to the detour, we arrived around 1:10 PM.)
15분 정도 대기 후 입장할 수 있었다.
(We waited about 15 minutes before being seated.)
어버이날인 만큼 어르신들을 모시고 온 가족 단위 손님이 유독 많이 보였다.
(Being Parents' Day, the restaurant was filled with families accompanied by elderly parents.)
점심특선 메뉴는 원래 오후 3시까지 가능하지만, 도착했을 때 이미 솔드아웃이었다.
(The lunch special set, normally available until 3 PM, was already sold out by the time we arrived.)
매장 내부 (Interior)
매장이 넓었다.
(The dining space was spacious.)
천장고가 높고 통유리 너머로 외부 녹지가 보여 채광이 좋았다.
(High ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking greenery made the space bright and open.)
건물은 2층 구조였으나, 방문 중 2층에서 내려오는 손님이 한두 명 정도에 불과했다.
(The building had two floors, though only one or two guests came down from the second floor during our visit.)
실제로 2층을 운영 중인지는 확인하지 못했다.
(We couldn't confirm whether the second floor was actually in operation.)
주문 (Order)
점심특선 대신 생 꽃갈비 800g(76,000원), 비빔냉면(8,000원), 공기밥, 된장찌개(2,000원)를 시켰다.
(In lieu of the lunch special, we ordered fresh flower ribs 800g (KRW 76,000), bibim naengmyeon (KRW 8,000), steamed rice, and doenjang jjigae (KRW 2,000).)
자리에 앉으면 구리 화로 주변으로 밑반찬인 청포묵, 샐러드, 상추, 김치, 마늘 등이 먼저 세팅되었다.
(Upon being seated, side dishes including mung bean jelly, salad, lettuce, kimchi, and garlic were arranged around the copper grill.)
밑반찬 구성이 꽤 충실했다.
(The side dish spread was quite generous.)
대리석 테이블이 넓어 음식이 많아도 답답하지 않았다.
(The marble table was wide enough that even with all the dishes, it didn't feel cramped.)
후기 (Review)
생 꽃갈비가 나왔다.
(The fresh flower ribs arrived.)
뼈 붙은 갈비살이 넉넉하게 플레이팅되어 나왔다.
(Bone-in rib cuts were plated generously.)
마블링이 고르게 들어가 있었고, 생고기 상태만 봐도 품질은 나쁘지 않다는 걸 알 수 있었다.
(The marbling was even throughout, and the quality was evident even before cooking.)
구리 화로 위 숯불에 직접 굽는 방식이었다.
(The meat was grilled directly over charcoal in a copper brazier.)
직화라 겉은 빠르게 익었다.
(The direct flame seared the outside quickly.)
잘 구워진 갈비는 육즙이 있었고, 쫄깃하면서도 부드럽게 씹혔다.
(Properly grilled, the ribs were juicy, chewy, and tender at the same time.)
고기를 먹고 난 후 비빔냉면과 된장찌개, 공기밥도 시켰다.
(After the meat, we also had bibim naengmyeon, doenjang jjigae, and steamed rice.)
사진을 못 남겨 아쉽다.
(Unfortunately, no photos were taken of these.)
둘 다 만족스러웠다.
(Both were satisfying.)
냉면이나 된장찌개가 그냥 그런 수준인 곳도 많은 터라, 이렇게 맛있게 먹고 나면 만족감이 더 커지는 것 같았다. (Given how many places serve mediocre naengmyeon or doenjang jjigae, finishing a meal this good made the satisfaction feel even greater.)
주변 테이블을 보니 육회와 갈비탕을 주문한 손님이 꽤 많았다.
(Looking around, quite a few nearby tables had ordered yukhoe (beef tartare) and galbitang (rib soup).)
다음에 온다면 그쪽도 시켜볼 것 같다.
(If we return, those would be worth trying.)
총평 (Final Thoughts)
맛있게 먹었다.
(It was a satisfying meal overall.)
고기도, 냉면도, 된장찌개도 만족스러웠다.
(The ribs, naengmyeon, and doenjang jjigae all hit the mark.)
인테리어와 공간감도 가격대에 걸맞았고, 직원분들도 친절했다.
(The interior and ambiance matched the price point, and the staff were kind.)
다만 차가 없다면 접근성이 떨어진다는 점은 감안해야 한다.
(That said, the location is difficult to reach without a car.)
집에서 거리가 있음에도 기회가 되면 또 방문하고 싶은 곳이었다.
(Despite the distance from home, it's a place we'd gladly return to.)
청학리 본점 방문 예정이라면 영업 여부를 꼭 먼저 확인하길 바란다.
