양재 근처에 볼일이 있던 날, 문득 제대로 된 짬뽕 한 그릇이 먹고 싶어졌다.

검색해보니 도야짬뽕 양재점이 눈에 들어왔고, 리뷰 수도 많고 평점도 나쁘지 않아 기대를 품고 방문했다.
(Doya Jjambbong Yangjae popped up in my search — solid ratings, plenty of reviews — so I decided to give it a try.)
매장 외관 (First Impressions Outside)
짙은 청록색 간판에 "짬뽕에 인생을 걸었습니다"라는 슬로건이 적혀 있었다.
(A deep teal signboard greeted me with the slogan: "I bet my life on jjambbong.")
입구 쪽에는 분홍빛 네온사인으로 '인생짬뽕'이라는 글자가 켜져 있어 눈길을 끌었다.

인조잔디를 깔아놓은 테라스 공간에 야외 테이블도 마련되어 있었다.
(A small terrace with artificial grass and outdoor seating was set up out front.)
날씨 좋은 날이라면 야외에서 먹어도 괜찮겠다 싶었다.
(On a nice day, eating outside would be a pleasant option.)
매장 내부 (Inside the Restaurant)
매장은 생각보다 넓었고, 붉은 소파 부스 좌석이 길게 이어진 구조였다.
(The interior was larger than expected, with long rows of red booth seating running through the space.)
내부는 전반적으로 깔끔하게 정돈된 편이었다.
(The overall atmosphere was tidy and well-kept.)
차를 가지고 왔다면 뒷문으로도 입장할 수 있고, 건물 뒤편에 3대 정도 주차할 수 있는 공간이 있었다.
(If you're driving, there's a back entrance and a small lot fitting about 3 cars behind the building.)
오픈 시간에 도착했더니 첫 손님인 듯했다.
(I arrived right at opening time and appeared to be the first customer of the day.)
혜자 포인트 (Perks Worth Mentioning)
입구 쪽에 무료 카페존이 마련되어 있었다.
(Near the entrance, there was a complimentary café zone.)
커피 머신과 음료 디스펜서가 놓여 있었고, 식사 후 무료로 이용할 수 있었다.
(It had coffee machines and a beverage dispenser, all free to use after your meal.)
공기밥도 무료였고, 단무지와 밥은 셀프바를 이용하면 됐다.
(Steamed rice was also free, with pickled radish and rice available at the self-service bar.)
주문 메뉴 (What I Ordered)
도야짜장 8,000원, 도야짬뽕 10,000원을 주문했다.
(I ordered the Doya Jjajang for ₩8,000 and the Doya Jjambbong for ₩10,000.)
짜장은 묵직한 소스가 면을 잘 감싸며 깔끔하게 마무리되는 맛이었다.
(The jjajang had a rich, coating sauce that finished clean — satisfying.)
짬뽕은 솔직히 기대만큼은 아니었다.
(The jjambbong, honestly, didn't quite live up to my expectations.)
리뷰를 너무 많이 읽고 간 탓에 기대치가 이미 높아져 있었던 것 같다.
(Having read so many glowing reviews beforehand, my expectations may have been set too high.)
맛이 없다는 게 아니라, 기대의 크기가 문제였다.
(It wasn't bad — the size of my expectations was the problem.)
다음에 다시 온다면 소고기짬뽕이나 다른 메뉴를 골라볼 생각이다.
(If I come back, I'd like to try the beef jjambbong or one of the other varieties.)
총평 (Final Thoughts)
거의 다 먹어갈 즈음 손님들이 하나둘 들어오기 시작했다.
(By the time I was nearly finished, other customers began to trickle in.)
오픈 직후의 조용한 시간이 오히려 여유롭게 먹기엔 좋았다.
(The quiet right after opening turned out to be the perfect time for an unhurried meal.)
양재에서 짬뽕 한 그릇이 생각난다면 한 번쯤 들러볼 만한 곳이다.
(If you find yourself near Yangjae and craving jjambbong, it's worth a visit.)
다만 리뷰를 너무 많이 읽고 가면 기대치 관리가 필요할 수도 있다.
