위례에 간식 먹기 좋은 가게 두 곳이 새로 생겨서 다녀와봤다.
(Two new snack spots recently opened in Wirye, so I paid both a visit.)
달떡볶이 위례점 (Dal Tteokbokki Wirye Branch)
위례광장 아이에스타워(위례35단지 광장 횡단보도 GS25 바로 옆 건물)에 원래는 '로컬떡볶이'라는 이름으로 자리하고 있던 자리에 달떡볶이라는 상호로 새롭게 오픈했다.
(In the IS Tower near Wirye Plaza — right next to the GS25 at the crosswalk by Wirye 35 complex — what used to be a place called 'Local Tteokbokki' has reopened under the new name Dal Tteokbokki.)
체인점으로 보였고, 매장 현수막에는 강릉 중앙시장에서 줄 서서 먹는 떡볶이라고 적혀 있었다.
(It appears to be a franchise, and a banner at the entrance described it as the tteokbokki famous for long lines at Gangneung Central Market.)
매장은 길쭉한 구조로, 왼쪽에 주방 겸 카운터가 이어지고 오른쪽에 테이블석이 늘어선 형태였다.
(The interior is long and narrow, with the kitchen and counter running along the left side and table seating lined up on the right.)
메뉴는 기본 달떡볶이(1인분 5,000원)부터 치즈폭탄떡볶이, 매운떡볶이가 있고, 순대와 당일 직접 만드는 수제 튀김도 판매한다.
(The menu includes the classic Dal Tteokbokki starting at 5,000 won per serving, along with cheese explosion tteokbokki, spicy tteokbokki, sundae, and handmade fritters prepared fresh each day.)
세트 메뉴도 다양하게 구성되어 있어 혼자서도, 여럿이서도 주문하기 편했다.

키오스크로 주문하는 방식이었다.
(Orders are placed via a self-service kiosk.)
둘이 갔고 초승달세트 16,000원(떡볶이 1인분+튀김 1인분+순대 1인분+음료 1개)을 주문했다.
(We went as two and ordered the Crescent Moon Set for 16,000 won, which comes with one serving each of tteokbokki, fritters, and sundae, plus one drink.)
직접 먹어보니 튀김은 바삭하고 깔끔했고, 떡볶이도 쫄깃하니 맛있었다.
(The fritters were crispy and clean-tasting, and the tteokbokki was chewy and satisfying.)
매장 앞 유리창에 붙은 종이를 보니 떡꼬치 2,500원, 순대튀김꼬치 3,000원, 컵떡볶이 2,500원이 손글씨로 안내되어 있었다.
(Hand-written notes stuck to the front window advertised tteok skewers for 2,500 won, sundae fritter skewers for 3,000 won, and cup tteokbokki for 2,500 won.)
테이크아웃용 간편 메뉴도 별도로 운영 중인 듯했다.

사장님도 친절하시고, 간단하게 분식이 먹고 싶을 때 재방문할 것 같다.

픽베이크 위례점 (Pic Bake Wirye Branch)
요즘 위례에서 가장 인기 있는 디저트 가게로, 포르투갈식 에그타르트 전문점이다.
(Pic Bake is currently one of the most talked-about dessert spots in Wirye, specializing in Portuguese-style egg tarts.)
성수동에서 먼저 알려진 브랜드로, 위례중앙광장 쪽에 오픈했다.
(The brand first made a name for itself in Seongsu-dong, and has now opened a branch near Wirye Central Plaza.)
기존 빽다방 자리여서 지나가다 쉽게 찾을 수 있다.
(It's located where Paik's Coffee used to be, so it's easy to spot when passing by.)
메뉴는 클래식 에그타르트를 비롯해 레몬커스타드, 생딸기, 생초코, 크림치즈 등 다양한 종류의 타르트가 있다.
(The menu features a range of tarts including the classic egg tart, lemon custard, fresh strawberry, dark chocolate, and cream cheese.)
특히 픽 클래식 4개 세트가 10,000원으로, 선물용으로도 인기가 많았다.
(The Pic Classic set of four tarts for 10,000 won is especially popular, and seems to be a go-to option for gifts as well.)
겉은 바삭하고 속은 부드러운 정석적인 에그타르트였다.
(It was a classic egg tart with a crispy exterior and a soft, creamy filling.)
한입 베어 물면 페이스트리의 결이 살아 있는 식감이 느껴졌다.
(Each bite revealed the flaky layers of the pastry, giving it a pleasant texture.)
안쪽 커스터드는 촉촉하면서도 부드러웠다.
(The custard filling was moist, smooth, and creamy.)
단맛이 과하지 않아 부담 없이 먹기 좋았다.

커피와도 잘 어울리는 디저트였다.

이번엔 클래식 세트로 구매했는데, 다음엔 다른 종류의 타르트도 맛보고 싶다는 생각이 들었다.

매장이 넓진 않지만 잠깐 앉아 머물다 가기엔 괜찮을 것 같았다.
