이번 여수 여행 중 직접 방문한 모이핀 오션점은 다녀오고 나니 더욱 추천하고 싶어진 오션뷰 카페였다. (Moipin Ocean, which I visited in person during this trip to Yeosu, turned out to be an ocean-view cafe I wanted to recommend even more after leaving.)
돌산 바다를 한눈에 담을 수 있는 시원한 전망은 물론, 넓고 여유로운 공간에서 다양한 음료와 베이커리를 함께 즐길 수 있어 여행 중 잠시 쉬어가기에도 더없이 만족스러운 곳이었다. (Along with a refreshing view that takes in the whole of Dolsan's sea, the spacious and relaxed interior let me enjoy a variety of drinks and bakery items together, making it a thoroughly satisfying spot to rest during the trip.)
매장 외관 (Exterior)
여수 돌산 모이핀 오션점은 도로에서부터 존재감이 느껴지는 대형 카페였다.
(Moipin Ocean in Dolsan, Yeosu, was a large cafe whose presence was felt even from the road.)
계단식으로 조성된 조경과 체크무늬 패턴의 옹벽이 진입로를 따라 길게 이어지며 방문객을 맞이했다.
(Terraced landscaping and a checkered-pattern retaining wall stretched along the entrance path, welcoming visitors.)
언덕 위에 자리한 화이트톤 건물은 모이핀 스카이점이며, 이번 방문한 곳은 모이핀 오션점이었다.
(The white-toned building on the hill is the Moipin Sky branch, while the one I visited this time was the Moipin Ocean branch.)
매장 내부 (Interior)
주차장과 연결되는 3층 메인로비에는 카운터와 베이커리 공간이 있는데, 입구로 들어서면 가장 먼저 키오스크가 보인다.
(The 3rd-floor main lobby, connected to the parking lot, has the counter and bakery area, and the first thing you see upon entering is the kiosk.)
입구 왼편으로 들어서자 높은 층고와 대형 통유리가 시선을 사로잡았다.
(Stepping into the left side of the entrance, the high ceilings and large floor-to-ceiling windows immediately caught my eye.)
곡선형 테이블이 공간에 부드러운 분위기를 더했고, 통유리 너머로 펼쳐진 여수 바다는 어느 자리에 앉아도 탁 트인 전망을 선사했다.
(Curved tables added a soft touch to the space, and the Yeosu sea unfolding beyond the glass offered an open view from every seat.)
입구 오른쪽으로 이동하면 또 다른 분위기의 공간을 만날 수 있다.
(Moving to the right of the entrance leads to a space with a different atmosphere.)
넓은 홀과는 다른 아늑한 느낌으로, 여러 명보다는 혼자 또는 둘이 방문했을 때 여유롭게 머물기 좋은 자리였다.
(Unlike the spacious main hall, it had a cozy feel, better suited for lingering comfortably alone or with one other person rather than in a larger group.)
카운터 앞쪽 베이커리 코너에는 소금빵, 팡도르, 바질토마토 크림파이, 퀸아망, 초코빨미까레, 오레오 아이스박스, 말차 케이크 등 다양한 디저트가 준비되어 있었다.
(The bakery corner in front of the counter offered a variety of desserts including salt bread, pandoro, basil-tomato cream pie, kouign-amann, chocolate palmier, Oreo icebox cake, and matcha cake.)
1층 & 2층 (1st & 2nd Floor)
2층은 단체가 와서 앉기 좋은 자리였다.
(The 2nd floor was well-suited for groups to sit together.)
모이핀 오션점은 입구가 3층에 있어 아래층으로 내려갈수록 바다와의 거리가 한층 가까워지는 구조였다.
(Since the entrance to Moipin Ocean is on the 3rd floor, the structure is such that going down each level brings you closer to the sea.)
층을 이동할 때마다 시야가 조금씩 달라져 같은 바다도 색다른 느낌으로 감상할 수 있었고, 어느 층에 머물러도 여유롭게 오션뷰를 즐기기 좋았다.
(The view shifted slightly with each floor, letting the same sea feel different each time, and every floor was a good spot to relax and take in the ocean view.)
가장 아래층인 1층에서는 야외 산책길로 바로 이어져 바다를 가까이에서 둘러보기 좋았고, 별관 역시 이곳을 통해 편하게 이동할 수 있었다.
(The lowest floor, the 1st floor, connected directly to an outdoor walking path, making it easy to view the sea up close, and the annex could also be reached conveniently from here.)
1층 안쪽으로 들어가면 오션뷰 대신 또 다른 매력을 느낄 수 있는 공간이 펼쳐진다.
(Going deeper into the 1st floor reveals a space with a different charm than the ocean view.)
넓은 공간 중앙에는 곡선형 좌석이 여유롭게 배치되어 있었고, 벽면을 가득 채운 대형 스크린과 은은한 조명이 어우러져 마치 미디어 전시관에 온 듯한 분위기를 연출하고 있었다.
(Curved seating was arranged spaciously in the center of the wide area, and a large wall-filling screen combined with soft lighting created an atmosphere reminiscent of a media exhibition hall.)
잠시 커피를 마시며 영상을 감상하기에도 좋은 공간이었다.
(It was also a good space to sip coffee while watching the visuals for a while.)
계단을 따라 올라가면 자작나무를 활용한 포토존이 마련되어 있는데, 양쪽 벽면을 거울로 마감해 자작나무 숲이 끝없이 이어지는 듯한 공간을 연출했다.
(Going up the stairs leads to a photo zone featuring birch trees, with mirrors on both walls creating the illusion of an endless birch forest.)
실제보다 훨씬 넓고 깊이감 있게 느껴져 잠시 다른 공간에 들어온 듯한 기분이 들었다.
(It felt far more spacious and deep than it actually was, giving the sense of stepping into an entirely different place.)
바닥에 깔린 하얀 자갈과 따뜻한 우드 데크, 은은한 조명이 조화를 이루며 차분한 분위기를 완성했고, 어느 방향에서 사진을 찍어도 감성적인 분위기가 담겨 만족스러웠다.
(White gravel on the floor, warm wood decking, and soft lighting came together for a calm atmosphere, and photos looked emotionally evocative from any angle.)
바다를 바라보며 여유를 즐기는 공간과는 또 다른 매력이 있는 곳이었다.
(It had a charm distinct from the sea-facing spaces meant for relaxation.)
모이핀 오션점을 방문한다면 오션뷰만 둘러보고 지나치기보다 1층 안쪽 공간과 자작나무 포토존까지 함께 둘러보는 것을 추천한다.
(If you visit Moipin Ocean, I'd recommend checking out the inner 1st-floor space and the birch photo zone too, rather than just the ocean view.)
야외 ㅡ 어디서 찍어도 그림 같은 풍경 (Outdoor Area — Picture-Perfect Scenery From Every Angle)
테라스로 나가면 눈앞에 펼쳐진 바다와 탁 트인 전망 덕분에 실내와는 또 다른 시원한 개방감을 느낄 수 있다. (Stepping onto the terrace, the sea spreading out before you and the open view give a refreshing sense of openness quite different from indoors.)
곳곳에 놓인 파라솔과 야외 좌석은 여유롭게 바다를 감상하기 좋았고, 모이핀 오션점만의 감성적인 분위기를 더욱 돋보이게 했다.
(Parasols and outdoor seating scattered throughout were great for taking in the sea leisurely, and further highlighted Moipin Ocean's distinctive, emotive atmosphere.)
한곳에만 머무르기보다 층마다, 공간마다 다른 풍경을 만날 수 있어 재방문하더라도 새로운 매력을 발견할 수 있는 카페라는 생각이 들었다.
(Rather than staying in one spot, you encounter different scenery on every floor and in every space, making it a cafe where even a repeat visit could reveal new charm.)
대충 셔터를 눌러도 분위기 있는 사진이 완성될 만큼 날씨와 공간이 모두 아름다웠다.
(Both the weather and the space were so beautiful that even a casual snapshot came out looking atmospheric.)
별관 ㅡ 숨겨진 비밀 공간 (The Annex — A Hidden Secret Space)
카페를 둘러본 뒤 마지막으로 발견한 곳이 바로 별관이었다.
(The last place I discovered after touring the cafe was the annex.)
이미 모든 공간을 다 둘러봤다고 생각했는데 예상하지 못한 별관이 있어 반가웠고, 그냥 지나쳤다면 아쉬움이 남았을 것 같은 공간이었다.
(I thought I'd already seen everything, so finding this unexpected annex was a pleasant surprise — it would have been a shame to miss.)
다른 공간보다 규모는 크지 않았지만 오히려 그 덕분에 더 아늑한 분위기가 느껴졌다.
(It was smaller in scale than the other spaces, but that actually made it feel even cozier.)
무엇보다 바다와 가장 가까운 위치에 있어 창밖으로 펼쳐지는 풍경을 더욱 가까이 감상할 수 있었고, 조용히 커피 한 잔의 여유를 즐기기에 잘 어울리는 공간이었다.
(Above all, being closest to the sea meant the view outside the window could be enjoyed up close, making it a fitting space to quietly enjoy a cup of coffee.)
다만 이날만 그랬는지는 모르겠지만 실내에 방향제 향이 다소 강하게 느껴졌다.
(I'm not sure if it was just that day, but the room freshener scent felt somewhat strong inside.)
공간 자체는 만족스러웠지만 향에 민감한 사람이라면 이 부분은 조금 아쉽게 느껴질 수도 있겠다는 생각이 들었다.
(The space itself was satisfying, but I thought this could be a minor downside for anyone sensitive to scents.)
주문 메뉴 ㅡ 코코 오션 망고, 비치 망고 스파클링, 생딸기 라떼, 오레오 아이스박스(What I Ordered — Coco Ocean Mango, Beach Mango Sparkling, Fresh Strawberry Latte, Oreo Icebox)
키오스크를 이용해 주문할 수 있었으며 커피뿐 아니라 논커피, 콜드브루, 우베 음료, 허브티, 에이드, 전통차 등 메뉴 구성이 다양했다.
(Orders were placed via kiosk, and the menu was varied, covering not just coffee but also non-coffee drinks, cold brew, ube drinks, herbal tea, ade, and traditional tea.)
이번에 주문한 메뉴는 코코 오션 망고(9,000원), 비치 망고 스파클링(9,000원), 생딸기 라떼(8,500원), 오레오 아이스박스(10,000원)였다.
(What I ordered this time was Coco Ocean Mango (9,000 won), Beach Mango Sparkling (9,000 won), Fresh Strawberry Latte (8,500 won), and Oreo Icebox (10,000 won).)
내가 주문한 비치 망고 스파클링은 이름처럼 푸른 바다를 닮은 시원한 비주얼이 가장 먼저 눈길을 사로잡았다.
(The Beach Mango Sparkling I ordered first caught my eye with its cool visual resembling a blue sea, just as its name suggests.)
톡 쏘는 탄산에 달콤한 망고 과육이 더해져 무더운 날씨에도 부담 없이 즐기기 좋았고, 상큼한 맛 덕분에 오션뷰와도 잘 어울리는 음료였다.
(The fizzy carbonation combined with sweet mango pulp made it easy to enjoy even in hot weather, and its refreshing taste paired well with the ocean view.)
특히 저어 마시면 음료 색이 푸른빛에서 초록빛으로 자연스럽게 변하는 점도 재미있었다.
(It was also fun that stirring the drink naturally shifted its color from blue to green.)
총평 (Overall Review)
모이핀 오션점은 여수 돌산을 대표하는 오션뷰 대형카페라는 이름이 잘 어울리는 곳이었다.
(Moipin Ocean truly lived up to its reputation as a representative large ocean-view cafe of Dolsan, Yeosu.)
건물 자체가 전망대처럼 설계되어 있어 어느 층에 앉아도 바다 풍경을 감상할 수 있었고, 자작나무 포토존과 감각적인 인테리어 덕분에 사진을 남기기에도 좋았다.
(The building itself is designed like an observation deck, so the sea view could be enjoyed from any floor, and the birch photo zone and stylish interior made it great for taking photos too.)
베이커리 종류가 다양해 음료와 함께 즐기기 좋았고, 천천히 둘러보며 여유로운 시간을 보내기에도 만족스러웠다.
(The wide range of bakery items paired well with the drinks, and it was also satisfying for taking a slow, leisurely look around.)
멋진 바다 풍경과 감성적인 공간이 인상적이었던 만큼, 여수 여행 중이라면 꼭 추천하고 싶은 카페였다.
